Phase 1: Initial Consultation & Project Brief
Meet with the client on-site to discuss scope, budget and program.

Phase 2: Preliminary Concept Design
Obtain council plans (if available)
Finalise project brief inc. mood board / inspiration visuals to convey design direction
Conduct on-site measure
Draft the existing layout in CAD, including loose furniture, appliances, and fixed joinery
Capture existing furniture in a schedule
Submit the existing layout to the client for approval before proceeding
Develop 2–3 space planning and concept design options
Meet with the client to present and discuss design options
Refine the preferred option based on feedback

Phase 3: Design Development
Prepare a detailed layout plan, including furniture and joinery arrangements
Compile an FF&E (Finishes, Fittings & Equipment) schedule outlining the proposed design finishes
Draft a partition plan showing walls, windows, and doors
Create a Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) showing lighting, power, data, and switch locations
Develop a floor finishes plan with materials, transitions, and installation directions
Prepare a wall finishes plan, including paint, panelling, and feature walls
Produce demolition plans if required

Phase 4: Detailed Design Documentation & Specification
Document all joinery, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
Provide physical samples of proposed finishes and materials
Specify all joinery hardware (e.g., handles, hinges)
Finalise lighting selection based on the RCP
Complete the final FF&E schedule

Phase 5: Construction & Closeout
Collaborate with builders, trades and suppliers
Provide project management services related to design elements (if requested)
Conduct regular site visits during construction
Onsite styling furniture and soft furnishings
Attend final walkthrough and handover; prepare a defects list
